Yay for Esther, who is the subject of a feature on academic blogging in today's Guardian. I wish I could say that my own blog is a tool to support my intellectual endeavours but we all know it's just a flippant pink mess. Maybe one day... although if the rest of my MA reflects the painful tedium of my current reading list then I'm not sure I'll make it as far as the dissertation, let alone become a fully-fledged librarian.

RIP Michael Donaghy. This is really upsetting, shocking news for me. He was only 50 or something. A great great poet. He left a comment on this blog once... I am gutted (she said selfishly).
