Brighton has been taken over by wasps and seagulls. Fucking freakish annoying fucking dirty evil vermin. Probably they will breed, and create some kind of killer mutant seawasp thing.

Which reminds me, ici a moderately thrilling clip of Alien vs Predator, out this weekend in the US. Having watched Predator 2 last weekend, I reckon the Aliens will win.

Only just saw
this window sticker from a huge fuck-off Toyota, as spotted by As Above. Don't know whether to laugh, cry or vomit copiously. People suck ass.

Went to
Pride on Saturday, with my mum, thus running the risk of being taken for her toygirl... still, we would have been far from the most unusual couple there - if anything represents the mentalist fabulousness that is Brighton, it's Pride. Hot weather is not kind to those whose taste in costumes runs to fluffy boots, capes, Victoriana, fur, gimp masks, leather in general, or woolly wigs. For the devotees of bare torsos, thongs, and backless chaps, however, it was a boon. I was only in Preston Park for a couple of hours, as I'm not that great with crowds, but there was a great atmosphere and an overwhelming sense of wuv. (The well-endowed black rubber teddy bears didn't appeal though I must say.)

On Sunday I went to the market in the station car park, happily still going strong despite lots of controversial construction work happening all around it. I held out little hope of finding the thing I was looking for - a folding chair for my computer costing no more than £5 - because you never do find anything there when you specifically look for it. But lo, there was a Chair Man there with twenty or so of that exact thing, price £5 each. It continued to be a good day, with a swim in a deliciously warm Hove sea with actual SAND under my feet, and an Eddie Izzard DVD to round things off (only slightly marred by loud sex noises coming from the neighbours).
