"I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library."

Well, we moved. Despite the best efforts of a homicidal washing machine. And here we are in lovely Hove, a stone's throw (if you are VERY good at throwing stones) from the sea and a short stumble in the other direction to a 24 hour Budgens. Huzzah. We have well and truly christened our new gas oven with all manner of risottos, curries and gratins, and tonight Matt is making fish fingers. As in, getting the fish and cutting it up and coating it in breadcrumbs and everything. Captain Birdseye eat your creepy, suddenly youthful, heart out! However, we now have to shop at Waitrose and the place gives me the total fear.

I finally finished A Man In Full, thank christ. Now I am gorging on short stories and Harry Potter, trying to shake off the feeling that I have been living in Atlanta, Georgia for decades.
