"I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library."

I feel better today. But let yesterday's entry stand - I'm tired of always being the emotionally stable one. And if one more person at work refers to me/treats me as 'the receptionist' I will revert to major sulkdom.

We walked to Devil's Dyke (I was slightly worried about googling that...) on Sunday, along the route of an old pleasure railway I never knew existed. That was exciting enough in itself, but then we decided to bookcross a Lemony Snicket at the top of the hill and hide until we saw someone pick it up... I think kids are just too well-trained these days, because several had a wary look and then LEFT IT. Echoes of their mothers telling them not to pick up stuff off the ground I suppose. I think it eventually fell into the hands of an old couple, who didn't look like they had much truck with the interweb... still, you never know.

I am not a very happy rabbit. It is raining and I'm back at work, for one thing, but hey - I've been through many such days before and usually perk up around the first coffee. I lost pretty much everything off my home computer, which sucked, but even that could be seen as just an unscheduled spring clean...

No, it's something else and I'm not sure what. I'll have a stab though: my job is completely menial and I have lazily chosen it to be so; I contribute nothing to society or to the practical welfare of anyone; the one thing I could possibly be said to be good at is self-indulgent and useless; I used my holiday to watch TV and play backgammon when all my friends were and are working their arses off in important meaningful jobs and doing all kinds of extra-curricular things as well...

And moaning about it only makes me a worse person.
