I went to a pirate-themed birthday party on Saturday. It was very authentic, with cutlasses, hooks, Jolly Rogers (ahem) and of course rum. There was even pirated music from the interweb DO YOU SEE? I'm not sure whether real pirates would have had access to cocaine, but that's Brighton for you. I left early, because coke is a very boring drug, but I did manage to obtain a useful splitter thing for my telephone socket, so the evening was not wasted < /geek>.On Sunday I ate roasted things, sat through a few hours of Matt and my stepdad swapping chef talk, and played some Scrabble. I was quite pleased with 'plumber' on a double word score, but Matt managed to get 'strafed' using all his letters (after some heated debate with my gran who thought it had two 'f's - she is insane.) I've rather lost the knack of Scrabble lately, having become addicted to backgammon instead. Who'd have thought I'd enjoy a game that involves COUNTING?
(Actually perhaps I shouldn't have closed my geek tag quite so early, eh?)
