I am worried about my weather pixie. Although she quite clearly stated this morning that the temperature was 11 degrees, she still saw fit to expose her midriff. I don't even take off my gloves until May.

OK, this is what you should all do if you need a lift, and let's face it you probably all do at the moment, unless you're for some reason happy about the prospect of being at war. See
Elling. It's the most wonderful, genuinely feel-good film. There is no cheese, sentimentality or emotional manipulation, just the premise that things CAN work out ok, for everyone. And it's very funny, and there's a lakeside location in it that's enough to make anyone want to move to Norway.

Sussex was on TV last night, thanks to Basil Spence's mentalist architecture that has the library entrance looking like an open book (actually it doesn't, very much) and the student union building looking like a camera (it does, but lord knows why). Meanwhile, I'm still set on doing my masters, despite the library horror stories that crop up regularly on GirlsWithGlasses, not to mention in my own job, where I am having great fun cataloging Spanish course materials that have half their cassettes missing and no ISBNs...
