I think somebody is trying to tell me something. One of those
online personality tests had me down as an ENFJ (ExtrovertIntuitiveFeelingJudging) which is The Teacher or 'benevolent pedagogue' haha. And yesterday I took charge of a group of 20 Japanese students on a trip. And I had a CLIPBOARD and everything; I was a natural. So, should I have joined my downtrodden comrades in the teaching profession after all, do you think? It's just that, ultimately, I FEAR children. I didn't get on very well with them when I WAS one, and I don't see any reason to change my opinion. Even grown-up people are a bit crap. But perhaps my WILL is just fighting against my DESTINY?

I don't think I can quite manage to drop my twopence worth of opinion about Iraq into the big dark well of blogland yet. What I can offer instead is a) a
book recommendation and b) a joke.

Speaking of wells, I watched Ring on Saturday night (well, most of it; I had to hide under the duvet for the last ten minutes). And what is it with the Japanese and wells? They're all over the place in Murakami, and now I find them in this film too, albeit more as a thing that scary dead girls can climb out of than a place of contemplation... But is there some important symbolism that as a Brit I'm missing?
