My energy levels have been alarmingly up and down this week. Last night for example I found I couldn't move from the sofa after dinner and ended up falling asleep in front of a Twin Peaks video, which is never a good idea. Then when I'd finally transferred my weary corse into the bed I was overcome with an urge to go swimming (though maybe this was just to avoid dreams of Killer Bob). And this morning my hyper attentions have been directed at my desk drawers, which have probably never been so tidy since the reign of my mad German predecessor (before she started drinking, that is).

Soundbytes from yesterday's particularly stupid day:

Woman in Undergraduate Admissions as I transferred a call: Is this related to undergraduate admissions?
Me: No, I just dialled your number at random because I am in fact an idiot.

Random Punter: Is this Spanish News videoed from Spanish TV actually *IN* Spanish?

Exercise is evil. I heroically lurched around in front of my Yogalates DVD for an hour yesterday, and this morning had to stagger to work with every muscle stiff and aching. Ok, so maybe this says more about my level of suppleness than the actual evilness of exercise, but it still put me off. Other exercise taken: walked to the swimming pool to pick up schedule (well, I can't be expected to actually SWIM yet; it's fucking freezing.) It hardly matters anyway, as all my good intentions will ultimately be undermined by my weakness for Matt's cooking (and the odd Belgian bun).
