Usually I don't make New Year's Resolutions, because I feel guilty enough when I fail to exercise, eat too much chocolate, and remain underemployed as it is. Don't need the added shame of breaking an actual resolution as well. However, there are a few things which I REALLY want to do this year:

1) Send off poems at least once every two months
2) Get Buzzwords up and running again
3) Get back into my size 10 trousers (tragic this one, I know, and worryingly involves...)
4) ...exercise regularly
5) Get a new job or at the very least a pay rise

Hm, not TOO daunting. Wish me luck. Though having found out which member of the Basic Eight I am, is there really any hope for me?

Happy New Year!

Blogging again? I must be back at work. And so normality returns like a slap in the face with a wet Marigold, after a Christmas of extravagant good cheer and the bonus extra present of GETTING ENGAGED to the eponymous True Love. Yes! I'm not going to end up an old maid with only cats and Radio 4 to keep me company after all! Who'd have thought it? It's been quite odd having to treat it as an Announcement though, since for us it's just an acknowledgement of what we knew already, that we are committed to this for ever. I'll stop now before you all lose your breakfasts. But yay, I get to dress up and have a party and cake and stuff! (Not imminently though, before you all start angling for invitations and arguing about who's going to DJ for us...)
