"I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library."

A few days ago Mark commanded me to update muh blog. But since I am scandalously CHEAP and prefer to abuse the good faith of my employers than use the internet at home... I mean, since I was on holiday and far too busy rambling in the countryside, getting drunk and generally repairing my tattered 'real life', I haven't got round to it until now. I don't seem to have been missed much at work - I had vague fantasies of my superiors tearing their hair out in my absence and realising how indispensable I was, a realisation which would inevitably lead to a huge pay rise and perhaps my own office. But no. I didn't even have anything to greet me in my 'in-tray' (actually not a tray so much as a patch of desk) except a massive stationery order which I am far too gloomy to deal with yet.
However, I did have a lovely time while I was off work and am now feeling refreshed by a combination of hillside art, quizzing with Mark, Liz, Bapps and Ken, and the best therapy of all: QVC.
